Summary:

Chenega Professional and Technical Services (CPTS) is an 8(a) Small Business that specializes in providing information technology, health and scientific, engineering and technical support, professional management and administrative services to federal government civilian agencies.

We are seeking aSr. Directorto lead the growth and operations of the organization. Providing business development support, this individual will focus on winning 8(a) sole source and competitive opportunities within the federal civilian market space. Additionally, this position will drive organizational and revenue growth through new contract acquisition, strategic partnerships, and expansion of services to our existing clients. CPTS is seeking an energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual who is willing and able to “roll up their sleeves” in order to deliver the wins and results needed.

TheSr. Directorwill provide leadership in the context of this position, be engaged, analytical, strategic, collaborative and flexible. He/she will work collaboratively with the leadership team on a daily basis to achieve growth objectives and identify challenges that may lie ahead, all in an effort to win new business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

· Under the direction of the President, responsible for understanding the Federal Civilian market for IT and professional services, leveraging and building business relationships with key customers, and qualifying business opportunities.

· Represents the company with major government customers, business partners and the public.

· Responsible for supporting and positioning firm to capture new and existing business opportunities (including developing teaming relationships, analyzing the competition, and developing win strategies), tracking targeted opportunities, and working with capture and proposal development teams to help firm win new Federal IT business.

· Develops and implements account plan(s) for strategic account(s) identified in collaboration with the President and Program Managers.

· With an understanding of the Federal Civilian market for services leverages and builds business relationships with key customers, and qualifies business opportunities.

· Develops and fosters key customer relationships within strategic accounts and for targeted opportunities.

· Develops and captures new 8(a) sole source opportunities.

· Conducts sales calls to targeted customers, presents firm’s management and technical capabilities, and identifies requirements, win themes, and potential solutions for opportunities.

· Provides leadership and management to employees and adhere to and advocate core values in day to day business practices.

· Participate in strategic planning, policy development and problem resolution of complex issues and needs.

· Conducts market research and analysis, gathers market and competitive data, and provides initial analysis of those data, especially as it relates to their strategic account(s).

· Consistently updates and reports on assigned opportunities in the BD pipeline.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

· A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related Business/IT discipline.

· Minimum ten (10) years of government contracting experience in a combination of program management, federal account management, and business development.

· Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with 8(a) contracting preferred.

· Technical knowledge or experience in IT services preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience supporting federal civilian agencies.

  • Demonstrated track record of winning new Federal contracts and acquiring new clients within the last two (2) years.

  • A record of accomplishment of leading and growing a services-based business across the government sector is desirable.

· Well-organized and self-directed individual; ability to balance and prioritize competing requirements.

· Show a passion for firm's mission and ability to promote and communicate the vision, mission, and values of the organization to firm’s external and internal stakeholders.

· The candidate must exhibit a proven well-balanced combination of strategic and people management skills, along with the leadership traits and professional and personal characteristics necessary for success
