Summary: TheLineman will Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.

· Supports the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills.

· This position may be designated as Mission Critical as required by the company to meet contract requirements.

· This position may be part of an emergency management/response team as required by the company to meet contract requirements.

· Must wear and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, hardhat, etc.

· Performs highly skilled, journey-level transmission, distribution, and electrical work in the installation, construction, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electric transmission, distribution and service lines, transformers, meters, metering equipment, electrical substations, and related equipment. Maintain all wiring to and maintenance of all pole lighting.

· Work involves moderate physical exertion, heavy lifting and exposure to inclement weather, as well as the hazardous conditions of working with high-voltage energized lines and equipment. Lineman must be able to climb raised poles, ladders and towers on a daily basis and keep daily records.

· Perform other work related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

· High School diploma or equivalent work experience.

· Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a journey – level lineman engaged in the installation, maintenance and repair of power lines, transformers or related equipment.

· Possess a valid state driver’s license and current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.

· Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to Install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.

· Ability to read, write and receive written and/or verbal instructions in English.

· Must have excellent verbal communication skills for interfacing with military and civilian customers.
