Summary:

· TheP2000 Electronics Security Technician III(TECH III) applies technical knowledge to maintain the P2000 System and solve issues toinclude a variety of subsystems within the Electronic Security System (ESS), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) System, Video Recording System, Intercom System, Public Address System, Fiber Optic Communications Network, and Asset Tracking System.The TECH IIIiscertified &trained with in-depth knowledge to configure, operate, and maintain the following systems: Cardkey P2000; MDI Safenet 200 Security Management and Access Control Enterprise legacy systems; Bosch video systems; Optical Time Domain Reflectometer fiber optic systems (splicing, termination, and operation); CISCO Fiber Networks; Integrate video via Internet Protocol (IP) address and Newton T-Dar systems; Astrophysics, Inc. XIS-6040 x-ray screening machines; Garrett PD 6500i-1168xx multi-zone walkthrough metal detectors; Chamberlain Liftmaster & Hy-Security Gate 222-SS-ST motors; B&B ARMR 820 shallow mount barriers.

· Have a working knowledge and understanding of PACS hardware, intrusion detection, CCTV equipment and public address systems

· Have a working knowledge and understanding of electric principals

· Ability to use diagnostic equipment/software and established troubleshooting techniques to isolate network deficiencies, equipment failures and operational anomalies

· Ability to read, interpret electrical schematics and architectural drawings

· Reading and adhering to blueprints and design plans for the installation of sub-level devices (e.g., patch panels, junction boxes) on large or complex jobs and head end equipment on small or less complex jobs

· Reading and understanding component level schematic diagrams for systems, equipment and devices

· Identifying appropriate cables from drawings and running cables/fiber per installation design plans

· Repairing and maintaining electronic security system equipment

· Testing continuity of conductor(s) or breaks in fiber

· Terminating basic connections such as butt splices, insulated connectors, terminal strips/blocks and BNC connectors

· Mounting and terminating field devices (e.g., Readers, Door Contacts, REXs, Cameras)

· Installing and Terminating sub-level devices (e.g., patch panels, junction boxes) on large or complex jobs and head end equipment on small or less complex jobs to include power and proper grounding

· Terminating and testing voice and data connections

· Performing field verification testing

· Understanding the infrastructure relationships between trades

· Coordinate with other trades and/or clients on your own

· Adhering to all Company and Client policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

· At least eight years’ experience in non-residential electronics installation & troubleshooting is required with a high school degree; Or

· At least six years’ experience coupled with Graduation from the US Navy or Air Force Electronics Training Program with a minimum of 720 class room hours or Graduation from an Accredited Electronic Apprentice Program with a high school degree; Or

· At least four years’ experience with an AA/AS in Electronics from an accredited program; Or

· At least two years’ experience with a BS/BA in Electronics from an accredited program. List of qualifications which include education/experience/certifications/clearances (quantifiable)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products

· Must be proficient with Test Equipment (i.e. TDR, OTDR)

· Must have skill level III Hand Tools (a complete list of required tools will be provided)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance:

· LENELOnGuard 7.3 access controlcertification required.

· At least two active certifications from the following OEM list: Morpho Detection Itemizer; Smiths Detection X-Ray Hiscan; CEIA Walk-Through Metal Detectors; Delta & Koei Vehicle Barrier; Panasonic Analog CCTV Systems; IP CCTV Systems; Pathminder Turnstiles; or equivalent OEM certifications.

· OSHA 10 Training required. OSHA 30 Training preferred.
