Summary:The E-3 Mission Training Center (MTC) Instructor (MTCI)is responsible for performing MTC training devices instruction for aircraft crew members either individually, or in combination with pilot instructors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Performs as an instructor with:

  • Basic MTC console operations

  • MTC console operations while providing instruction

  • Direct / support instruction (i.e. over the shoulder or while flying the MTC

  • Instructs and measures training student progress IAW the established curriculum, syllabus or training plan providing inputs and courseware corrections and modifications to update training policies and procedures.Ensure MTC scenarios (including TIC files) are developed

  • Diagnoses and remediates student problems following course outline and MTC simulator exercises; performs administrative and collateral duties relative to training such as: record keeping, monitoring student progress, counseling, training development and maintenance of training programs/records. Develops, maintains, and presents academies topes IAW published standards

  • Completes an annual evaluation IAW published standards

  • Assists in related MTC projects and development work as assigned.

  • Monitors and ensures MTC and personal security plans IAW published standards

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Current aircrew experience within prior three years

  • Maintains AF Form 8 certified instructor qualification in the MTC weapon system

  • Maintains DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain SCI.

  • 1000 hours of experience in the MTC weapon system

  • 500 hours flight time in specific weapon system instructing

  • 200 hours weapon system instructor time (“K Prefix”)

  • DoD Secret; DCID 6/4 SCI eligible

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Read, write, speak and understand the English language

  • Basic Microsoft Office Skills

  • Fly the MTC simulator in the capacity of the weapons system using current tactics and employment standards

  • Effectively communicates in an instructional setting
