Summary:TheNetwork Planning Analyst Iunder general supervision, plans and evaluates moderately complex existing network systems, and makes recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels for the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

  • Provides assistance in network planning and development of technical standards and interface applications.

  • Evaluates new products as assigned.

  • Provides resolution for network problems.

  • Provides tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects.

  • Configures and upgrades network communications equipment and software systems on network servers.

Non-Essential Duties:Other duties as assigned to support business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in telecom networks.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to analyze and assess computer software and technologies.

  • Ability to communicate information/ideas to customers, team members, and project leads as necessary.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships to facilitate projects essential.

  • Proficient using PC/Laptop, Internet and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of network operating systems, protocols, architectures, designs, and equipment configuration.

  • Knowledge of current and developing information technology services requirements.
