Summary:

· System Engineer is responsible for supporting the Logical Access Control Systems and products. Responsibilities include: Daily functional checks on all head-end systems related to the Security Electronic Systems. Enrolls and manages user credentials and permissions. Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.

· Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations.

· Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems.

· Performs system backups and recovery.

· Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.

· Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.

· Provides technical support and guidance to users.

· Self-starter. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

· Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.

· A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

· Typically reports to a project leader or manager.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline or five (5) to ten (10) years equivalent qualified work experience.

  • Must have two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a related area or field.

  • Must have system administration knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2 Security administration (group policy, permissions, patch management, etc.)

  • Must have system administration knowledge of Troubleshooting OS and applications

  • Must have familiarity with Windows applications and utilities.
