Summary:

TheLENEL Electronic Security Sr. Project Coordinatorreports directly to the ESS Program Manager and is responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and insuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner. TheLENEL Electronic Security Sr. Project Coordinatorensures technical knowledge is applied by Electronic Technicians to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. Work requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments and computer control equipment. TheLENELElectronic Security Sr. Project Coordinatorplans, prepares, and conducts on-the-job training as required in support of the foregoing activities. This position will provide leadership and technical guidance to lower level technicians. LENEL Certified Expert (LCE) and Salient Video Surveillance certification required. This position will support the ESS Program Manager and act as his/her deputy as required.

  • Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of multiple facility projects.

  • Acts as the company contact in the field with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot/solve issues and coordinate with other trades/clients with minimal supervision.

  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of PACS hardware, intrusion detection, CCTV equipment and public address systems

  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of electric principals

  • Possess the ability to use diagnostic equipment/software and established troubleshooting techniques to isolate network deficiencies, equipment failures and operational anomalies

  • Ability to read, interpret electrical and electromechanical schematics and architectural drawings

  • Reading and adhering to blueprints and installation design plans for the installation of sub-level devices (e.g., patch panels, junction boxes) and head end equipment

  • Reading and understanding component level schematic diagrams for systems, equipment and devices

  • Identifying appropriate cables from drawings and running cables/fiber per installation design plans

  • Repairing and maintaining electronic security system equipment

  • Understanding the infrastructure relationships between trades

  • Testing continuity of conductor(s) or breaks in fiber

  • Terminating basic connections such as butt splices, insulated connectors, terminal strips/blocks, fiber, telecommunications, and BNC connectors

  • Mounting and terminating field devices (e.g., Readers, Door Contacts, REXs, Cameras)

  • Installing and Terminating sub-level devices (e.g., patch panels, junction boxes) and head end equipment to include power and proper grounding

  • Terminating and testing voice and data connections

  • Performing field verification testing

  • Expertise with maintenance management systems (e.g., IBM MAXIMO)

  • Adhering to all Company and Client policies and procedures

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervisor of multiple Electronic Technicians. Plan, organize, direct and guide the activities of team members. Participate in hiring, training and performance evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Six to nine years of related field experience as a Project Coordinator.

  • At least six years’ experience in non-residential electronics installation & troubleshooting is required with a high school degree; Or

  • At least four years’ experience coupled with Graduation from the US Navy or Air Force Electronics Training Program with a minimum of 720 class room hours or Graduation from an Accredited Electronic Apprentice Program with a high school degree; Or

  • At least three years’ experience with an AA/AS in Electronics from an accredited program; Or

  • At least two years’ experience with a BS/BA in Electronics from an accredited program.

  • LENEL Certified Expert (LCE) certification required.

  • Salient Video Surveillance certification required.

  • At least two active certifications from the following OEM list: CEIA Walk-Trough Metal Detectors; Delta Vehicle Barrier Systems; Salient/Axis Analog/IP CCTV Systems; Boon Edam Turnstiles; or equivalent OEM certifications.

  • MA Low Voltage and Electronic Security License

  • Travel to various job sites will be required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products

  • Must be proficient with Test Equipment (i.e., VOM TDR, and OTDR)

  • Must have skill level III Hand Tools (a complete list of required tools will be provided)
