Summary:

· TheDeputy Program Manager (DPM)/ Production Manager is responsible for providing leadership and management for a Records Management program. In addition, theDPM will be responsible for managing the Quality Control activities summarizing information and trends including failed processes, training, corrective actions and plans and adjusts the production schedule as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

· Support the Program Manager by providing leadership to the Managers, Supervisors and program staff.

· Manage the program by tracking program budgets, schedules, resource allocation and Quality Control.

· Analyze reports of all quality control activities, shelf-reading work, and independent quality assurance reviews and reports results to the Program Manager.

· Assess the quality of performance of all contract tasks; determines weaknesses; and recommends procedural and personnel changes to contract Program Manager, Customer and Government records staff

· Work directly with contract managers and supervisors to correct procedural and performance deficiencies.

· Plan a production schedule; implement and control the production schedule; review and adjust the schedule where needed.

· Determine the human resources and material resources required;

· Manage equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement.

· Implement and manage standard operating procedures for production operations.

· Implement and manage Health and Safety procedures.

· Prepare and maintain production reports.

· Lead meetings with project staff and provide guidance too small to mid-sized project teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct and guide the activities of team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include hiring, firing, training and performance evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required

· 5 years of experience in Records Management for a Government customer; 3 years of experience in the Production and/or Quality environment.

o Experience managing large teams

o Experience with quality control and review techniques for records management.

o Experience with standard word processing, spreadsheet, statistical, and graphics software to produce reports, charts, and graphs

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and Holidays as required

· Ability to discuss and resolve operational problems with professional staff;

· Ability to plan, organize, and direct projects involving the efforts of several subordinates;

· Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to correspond with professional staff; read and understand complex sets of procedures and other documentation.
