Summary:

The Program and Security Coordinator will work with business services and program managers in the coordination and monitoring of program activities as it relates to scheduling, staffing, security, and meeting the customer requirements.

In addition to the program coordinator duties, this position will fill the role of auxiliary

FSO withprocessing security information and data for employment records and security clearances. Collects and submits electronic fingerprints and handprints. Assists in processing visit authorizations for employees and guests to gain access to restricted areas. Verifies accuracy of information prior to issuing clearances. Helps maintain pertinent security documents.

  • Analyze program operating practices, provide recommendations for process improvement to management.

  • Create and maintain program process workflows

  • Maintain rapport with customers, managers, and employees through continuous contacts, services, and setting of priorities.

  • Interface through correspondence and in person with customers, managers, and employees

  • Maintain continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to management; discovering irregularities; determining continuing needs

  • Work with business services and program management to identify problems and propose resolutions.

  • Provide staff and customers with accurate and complete information on security processes, procedures, and documentation requirements.

  • Assist with employee actions by working with business services departments and communicating developments to management.

  • Serve as a classified control point for the department.

  • Organize, maintain, and complete classified employee files

  • Verify clearances in multiple databases

  • Manage multiple priority projects, review documentations, and ensure data/content is accurate

  • Develop printed and electronic documentation and materials. Printing, copying distributing work as required.

  • Coordinate and provide support on communication updates as it relates to Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs)

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Associates Degree in business related field

  • Two – three (2-3) years’ experience performing security related duties

  • Active DoD security clearance required.

  • Experience with DoD Manuals

  • Excellent skills in customer service, verbal and written communications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and written skills

  • Excellent customer relation skills

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in developing and maintaining documentation and/or data management systems, involving DoD combined in the security disciplines of information, operations, and special security.

  • Working knowledge of and understanding of industrial security principles, NISPOM, Joint Personnel Adjudicating System (JPAS).

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and MS Outlook

Ability to prioritize assignments to adhere to deadlines.

  • Ability to work both efficiently and effectively.
