Summary:

TheDirector of Creative Serviceswill adjust resources and creative team priorities on a day-to-day and week-to-week basis based on changing client and internal project requirements, priorities, and creative team availability.

  • Identify and maximize the strengths of each team member through assignments that best utilize their skills.

  • Identify and cater to the growth areas of each team member through opportunities and training that increase each team member's skill sets and ultimately their value to the agency and its clients.

  • Track resource availability by monitoring current projects and tracking project status

  • In coordination with Strategists, Project Managers (PMs) and Creative Directors (CDs), manage and align resources to best match project needs considering labor category restrictions associated with federal contracts, timeline and budget requirements, corporate goals for billable utilization, and professional development needs and opportunities.

  • Re-align resources as-needed to accommodate shifts in project scopes, timelines, priorities, and available budget.

  • Proactively mitigate risks associated with timelines, budgets, and resource availability through the assignment and realignment of resources and timely communication with Strategists, Project Managers (PMs) and Creative Directors (CDs),

  • Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures that increase project status awareness and workflow and production efficiencies, while ensuring the highest quality creative products possible.

  • Manage the Traffic & Production Coordinator to ensure traffic functions and executes as-needed. This includes the training and professional growth of the Traffic Coordinator, and weekly communication of project and timeline dependent information.

  • Ensure the Traffic & Production Coordinator is effectively coordinating creative reviews, routing, and quality checks to ensure the appropriate awareness and contribution of each team member

  • Work with Traffic & Production Coordinator to manage production vendor estimates, schedules, file coordination, and quality checks.

  • Assist in forecasting level-of-effort associated with specific projects in support of business development efforts, and current project estimates-to-complete (ETC).

  • Maintain a prioritized list of current and backlogged internal projects to facilitate staff work assignments.

  • Partner with Creative Directors to initiate and maintain proper mentorship and growth opportunities for team members.

  • Manage and approve team member schedules and leave requests, approve timesheets, and conduct annual performance reviews.

  • Build and maintain a culture of camaraderie, open-mindedness, and positive energy amongst team members.

  • Provide a sense of calm and command across the design floor, to inspire individual and team confidence.

  • Manage team staffing needs, to include interviewing and selecting candidates.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Team, Creative Directors, Strategists, Developers, and Project Managers to ensure production of high-quality client deliverables.

  • Maintain knowledge of and communicate at a high-level a status for all projects within the agency as well as ensuring that the Traffic & Production Coordinator has all production supplies are continually refreshed and proactively consider needs for supplies against work in-house.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for managing the Traffic & Production Coordinator and providing management and direction to Creative Services team of designers.

  • Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, firing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and providing feedback and professional counseling to design team employees.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience in building, managing and overseeing graphic and interactive design services teams that support marketing and branding campaigns, and advertising and digital production.

  • Experience in aligning resources to meet project deliverables and associated goals.

  • TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Poly preferred but not required.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required in order to support work on this contract
