Summary:

  • TheSupply Technicianshall provide the documentation (automated and manual) according to STAMIS/AIS system and functional area at Dugway Proving Ground.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Provide support to LRC of asset requisition, receipt, short-term holding, inventory, issue, redistribution, classification, turn-in, maintaining hand receipts/annexes, adjustment reports, reconciliation and serial number and unique item tracking.

  • Maintain Automated Supply System (GCSS-Army) for accounting of organizational and installation supplies and equipment.

  • Tracks property and supply movement, assist with bills of lading, supply management, storage, packing and shipping, and document control.

  • Provide professional courteous customer service, and communication skills for interfacing with military, government and civilian customers.

  • Creates and updates inventory records and makes periodic physical inventories to reconcile physical count with the inventory records.

  • Checks incoming material for quality and quantity against invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, contract order release forms, or other documents.

  • Safely operate industrial forklifts from 4,000 lbs to 25,000 lbs

  • Computer literate – Microsoft applications and US Government supply programs and applications

  • Read and write legibly- English language

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High School Diploma, or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).

  • Four (4) plus years of supply technician experience.

  • Must be able to meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance and access to work location.

  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License.

  • Experienced with GCSS-Army (2 years experience preferred).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good working knowledge of the governing supply system, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines;

  • Effective oral and written communications skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Working knowledge of Army regulations AR710-2, DA pam 710-2-1, AR 735-5, CTA 50-909, AR 840-10, and AR 25-400-2.

  • Working knowledge of SAP operating systems including GCSS-A.

  • Experience in logistics operations and must display the ability to use good judgment and common sense when performing job functions

  • Prior experience and knowledge with government automated warehouse inventory systems is desired.
