Summary:

  • TheAV Services Specialist IIwill provide fabrication services including but not limited to: Installation of VI products to include signage, lettering and adhesive backed products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Fabricate products using woodworking, sheet metal and machine shop equipment.

  • Maintain all training aids and devices to include training, maintenance, and issue/receive equipment.

  • Document materials and hours, for each project; handle minor administrative duties such as answering phones and assisting customers with request forms.

  • Consult with the Fabrication Lead and/or customers to clarify project specific requirements to meet the customers’ needs.

  • Keep the fabrication shop clean and conduct daily housekeeping prior to securing.

  • Provide support as needed in the following:

  • Presentation (set-up, tear-down, pre-testing and transportation of equipment)

  • AV equipment requests

  • Training aid

  • Video Support and Video/Audio Dubbing

  • Mastery of A/V skills is not necessary, and training will be provided OTJ.

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the contract/client.

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in performing in a fabrication environment or in a machine shop is preferable.

  • Current / Valid US Driver’s License and valid state vehicle registration.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong customer service skills to include verbal communication, computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite applications.

  • Must be well organized, an effective communicator at multiple levels and able to grasp system concepts and communicate their applications.

  • Must be capable of quickly learning new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks.

  • Must be capable of managing multiple projects with time related constraints in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment.

  • Basic knowledge of painting, welding, and wood working. Mastery of skills not necessary.

  • Basic knowledge of materials to engineer, design, and finish project solutions.

  • Basic knowledge to design, fabricate, and finish work for various projects in a machine shop environment.

  • Ability to install products alone or with a helper.

  • Ability to tow trailers a plus.

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

  • Ability to travel to various CONUS sites.

  • Must be able to pass a health check and gain approval for wearing of a respirator.
