Summary:

  • Senior Training

Specialistprovides instructional support as part of a mobile training team (MTT) on a

variety of non-intrusive inspection (NII) equipment to the Technology Training

& Support Program (TT&SP) for Customs personnel.

Essential Duties

and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities

to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Prepare

and instruct demonstration performance-based lesson on non-intrusive inspection

(NII) equipment to include x-ray and gamma imaging systems, vapor tracers,

radiation detection and identification, density gauges, etc.

  • Support

and assist other MTT members with training materials preparation, objectives,

and classroom or field delivery.

  • Assist

with research, curriculum development, and revisions of training materials to

include instructor manuals, student manuals, and student handouts.

  • Assist

with needs assessments.

  • Presents

class lectures on safety, installation, programming, machinery and equipment

following outlines, handouts and texts.

  • Perform

other ad hoc tasking and special projects as assigned

  • Develop

training materials using the Instructional System Design (ISD) model.

Minimum

Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s

degree with 5 years of experience in training and development or in a related

field of study;

  • Associates

degree with minimum of 8 years of experience directly related to hands-on adult

training.

  • 5

years of experience preparing and presenting adult training materials for

classroom or field delivery to include the application of training principles,

concepts, practices, and standards;

  • 2

years’ experience facilitating technical training.

  • Must

be able to support short notice travel throughout the CONUS, Canada, Puerto

Rico, Virgin Islands, Bermuda, and Bahamas. Travels approximately 60% of the

year.

  • Must

have or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport

  • Must

have a valid U.S. driver’s license

  • CBP
