Summary:TheWireless Network Engineer IIis

responsible for testing and analyzing all elements of the network facilities as

well as planning, installing, maintaining, and managing the network.

Essential Duties

  • Testing

and analyzing all elements of the network facilities.

  • Planning,

installation, maintenance, and management of the network.

  • Performing

systems engineering, design, analysis, and experimentation of wireless networks

  • Researching,

designing and implementing wireless networks, including the definition of

applicable engineering specifications and resource requirements for network

hardware and software

  • Making

recommendations for wireless network optimization

Minimum

Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s

Degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university or 4

years’ experience in Network Engineering.

  • Experience

requirements includes three years of progressive experience in computer

system/network engineering, including two years of specialized experience

related to the task.

  • CCNA

or CCNP or BCNE or BCNP or the latest Brocade Professional IP Administrator

(BPIPA) certification required for all levels. Three years documented

experience in addition to previously stated experience requirements can be used

as equivalent for certification.

  • Possess Baseline and Full

    Computing Environment Certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M and BBP

    05-PR-M-0002. The expiration date on certifications must be at least 90

    days out from hire date.

  • SSBI clearance required

described by the end user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions

when necessary.
