Summary:

Chenega Professional & Technical Services (CPTS) is seeking anInformation Assurance Specialistto provide network infrastructure support services to the Department of Navy’s (DON) Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COMOPTEVFOR). TheInformation Assurance Specialistwill provide configuration, testing, and technical support services to the Cyber Security Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Assist the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in the development, review, endorsement, and maintenance of cyber security certifications and accreditations.

  • Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs.

  • Assess security events and DISA STIGs to determine impacts and implement corrective actions.

  • Monitor cyber security compliance for all COMOPTEVFOR systems using tools to include but not limited to the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM), and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).

  • Categorize systems under accreditation in accordance with the Committee of National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) 1253 and create or modify the System Security Plan for all COMOPTEVFOR systems.

  • Identify and select applicable Common Controls for all COMOPTEVFOR systems under accreditation.

  • Assist the ISSM in the development or modification of system-level continuous monitoring strategy for all COMOPTEVFOR systems.

  • Document security control implementation in the security plan for all COMOPTEVFOR systems.

  • Assist the ISSM in the development or modification of the Security Assessment Plan for all COMOPTEVFOR systems.

  • Assist the ISSM in the development or modification of the Plan of Action and Mitigation (POA&M) for all COMOPTEVFOR systems.

  • Assist the ISSM in the development or modification of any policies, plans, and documentation required for the accreditation of all COMOPTEVFOR systems.

  • Provide a monthly status report which contains the progress of work on assigned tasks and future work plans for the upcoming month.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.

  • Must meet the applicable cyber security certification requirements in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF); IAM level I certification required; Must provide a certificate for either Security CE, Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), or GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC).

  • Active Secret security clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with monitoring information system security compliance using Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), Vulnerability Remediation Assurance Manager (VRAM), and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).

  • Must have Navy Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
