Summary:The Administrative Assistant shall provide research activity support services to include Task Area Support, Coordination and Scheduling, and Protocol Support for Clinical Trials in Burns and Trauma Research Area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Provide Administrative support services.

  • Provides support services including, communications, travel support, printing, library or publication services, mail, facilities and equipment, transportation, records, forms and reports.

  • Coordinates arrangements, scheduling, and agenda preparation for seminars and meetings.

  • Coordinates travel arrangements for the task area to attend meetings CONUS and OCONUS; coordinates travel of visitors to ISR on Task Area business.

  • Coordinate video and audio teleconferencing.

  • Greet all visitors of the directorate and assist with in-processing personnel, once approved for access.

  • Distribute appropriately incoming memos, submissions and reports.

  • Assist in maintaining fiscal responsibility and accountability, with preparing invoices, reports, memo, letters, financial statements and other documents using word processors, spreadsheets or Resource Management System database.

  • Organize and maintain files and records and sort/distribute incoming correspondence.

  • File and retrieve documents, records and reports.

  • Prepare responses to correspondence.

  • Comply with all Department of Defense, U.S. Army, USAISR, and other governmental regulatory requirements with special emphasis on safety and security.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High School degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • A minimum of one (1) year Research protocol experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient Typing skills.

  • Computer skills, Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Word Expertise

  • Fluent in the English language both oral and written.
