Summary:

Chenega

Professional & Technical Services (CPTS) is seeking aIT Support Technician 2to provide oversight and contract support

to NASA - AMES Research Center (ARC) within the Information Technology Services. TheIT

Support Technician 2will provide IT support for Government furnished

equipment (GFE).

Essential Duties

and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities

  • Provide

IT support for Government furnished equipment (GFE).

  • Provide

support to distributed computer/networking environment including

troubleshooting for stand-along computers, computers linked to networks,

printers and other peripherals.

  • Support

responsibilities include help with software installation and configuration

issues.

  • Performs

technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers by

telephone for computer hardware and software packages.

  • Troubleshoot

computer problems, perform hardware and software diagnostics, and resolve

computer system problems, including coordination between users and components

of a local area network.

Qualifications:(To

essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s

Degree in, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • Minimum

Five (5) years’ related experience including knowledge of PC operating systems

(e.g., DOS and Windows), networking and mail standards, and work on a help

desk.

  • Demonstrated

ability to communicate orally and in writing and a positive customer service

attitude.

  • CISSP

(Certified information systems security professional)

  • Possess

an Active Secret Clearance
