Summary:The Construction Project Manager will focus on project development, management and oversight of set project(s) and staff in South Korea.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Plan, coordinate and schedule construction projects.

  • Responsible for the quality of work and for keeping the project on time and within budget.

  • Ensure that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

  • Responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

  • Supervision over the construction workers.

  • Create project schedules and timelines, and manage resource needs

  • Review contracts and change orders, and collaborate with account manager to identify change order opportunities

  • Be familiar with project blueprint, specifications, diagrams and schematics

  • Manage projects to ensure delivery of scope, on-time and within budget; implement quality control

  • Ensure project deliverables (product datasheets, O&M manuals documentation, shop drawings and as-built drawings) are delivered timely

  • Use AutoCAD and Visio to create shop drawing and as-built drawings

  • Purchase material from preferred vendors and suppliers and ensure competitive pricing

  • Provide project progress info to Operations for project billing and payment applications

  • Visit job site and participate in on-site progress meetings with GC’s and USG, as required

  • Identify risks to PM and help develop specific solutions and recommendations to USG

  • Demonstrate resourcefulness in assessing and troubleshooting of issues and problems

  • Understand OSHA safety policies and guidelines and ensure they are being met on the project

  • Represent HS Solutions in a professional manner at all times

  • Supervise Construction Staff, Subcontractors and Vendors

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience required

  • DOD OCONUS Design Build experience, preferably in South Korea

  • PE Certification

  • Secret Clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

  • Ability to understand basic revenue models, profit/loss, and cost-to-completion projections

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and verbal and written communication

  • Ability to work independently or on a team

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, find effective solutions and troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment

  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 5200.01, Volume 3; DoD 5220.22-M, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements

  • Ability to travel
