Summary:

Chenega Professional & Technical Services (CPTS) is seeking an Analyst III to support the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), Office of Surveillance and Epidemiology (OSE). The Analyst III will assist the Division of Epidemiology in providing day-to-day epidemiologic, drug utilization, data analysis, and data management support to conduct base scientific work for assisting OSE in combating abuse and misuse of prescription drug products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Provide data management and analytic support for evaluation of opioid drug utilization patterns and outcomes such as abuse, misuse, addiction, overdose, and death related to prescription opioids and concomitant drugs in electronic health care data and other relevant data sources (e.g., poison center calls, death certificates, national survey data).

  • Critical reviews of the epidemiologic literature, including development of associated work plans.

  • Work shall be conducted in accordance with applicable standard guidelines.

  • Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology or related field and 4-6 years of experience.
