Summary:

· TheMaterial Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of materials (ordering, receipt, and delivery) in support of the FRC program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

· Coordinate and expedite flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.

· Review production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material, requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material.

· Arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments.

· Examine material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified.

· Monitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor system.

· Compile report of quantity and type of material on hand.

· Transport material from one department to another.

· Compile perpetual production records in order to locate material in process of production.

· Maintain employee records.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· 1 or more years of experience in a warehouse, logistical, or similar environment.Experience in federal government facility.

· Must obtain forklift license within 90 days of hire date.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Knowledge of product and manufacturing processes

· Have knowledge of safety standards.

· Excellent Customer Service, verbal and written communication skills.

· Verbal and written communication skills.

· Basic computer skills, to include Internet, Microsoft Office, and email. Familiarity with web-based procurement software a plus.

· Ability to use Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

· Must have the ability to pass an in-depth customer background check in addition to the standard employment background check.

· Forklift license requirements (DoT physical and Forklift license certification) must meet within 90 days of hire date.
