Summary:

· TheFacility Technician, Level II will be responsible for all related support requirements to keep existing security systems fully operational at three small facilities in Taiwan. Support requirements encompass the full range of activities from generating software system reports, managing video storage, access control credentialing, testing and replacing equipment and devices, backup generator maintenance, and ensuring unobstructed fields-of-view of cameras and sensors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

· Provide basic troubleshooting and system operation support of OpenOptions Access Control System, via phone or in person, to the Site Managers. This may include Enrollment, Un-Enrollment, Generation of Run Logs, Storage Backup, etc.

· Execute any necessary repair work to any of the system components. This shall include replacement Access Control Panel components, cameras, housings, motion sensors, controlled door hardware, cabling, as well as computers and peripherals.

· Assess the operational condition of servers, networks, and systems and perform changes necessary for maintaining functional capability of all systems. Change may include software, hardware, switches, devices, and equipment. When warranty considerations dictate replacement or repair, the Level II Technician will facilitate the process and ensure functional condition of all systems and equipment.

· Restoration in the event of a catastrophic failure or interruption event, restoration of services the Level II Technician will reinstall operating systems, software, licenses or any number of other requirements that require an advanced level of expertise.

· Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Services - The Level II Technician will document the failures, uninstall, package, ship, receive and reinstall items under warranty The Technician will deal directly with the vendor and/or manufacturer from which the item was purchased to ensure the process is executed properly and in a timely manner.

· Operate on a Maintenance Schedule to ensure all system components are in good working order. This will include cleaning the CCTV camera housings, running a System Health Report on the vanguard CS, functional testing, and all other tasks assigned in the Preventive Maintenance Plan. The Level II Technician will conduct a regularly scheduled Preventative Maintenance Plan to identify problems early and eliminate costly repairs in the future.

· Conduct biannual testing ever six months testing, record results and file/forward accordingly.

· Generate and store Access Logs which will be kept for 90 days, and then filed. The Level II Technician will provide Access Logs to the Site Managers.

· Perform Electrical System Repair/Replacement as necessary. The following tasks will be performed by the Level II Technician:

1) Replace/ repair any light fixture in or on the building with similar fixture to operate within existing system

2) Replace/ repair any defective receptacle in or on the building

3) Perform testing of Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) equipment

· Perform Emergency Generator Refill/Repair/Replacement as necessary. The following tasks will be performed by the Level II Technician:

1) Check and refill crankcase oil, battery fluid, diesel fuel, and other fluids as necessary

2) Check and replace oil, fuel, and air filters as necessary, per manufacturer's requirements.

3) Lubricate generator bearings per manufacturer' s requirements.

4) Coordinate replacement parts for under warranty

· Perform Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning Systems - Refill/Repair/Replacement as necessary. The following tasks will be performed by the Level II Technician:

2) Check and replace air filters as necessary (internal and external)

3) Lubricate bearings per manufacturers requirements

4) Clean any ducting that shows evidence of dust/debris buildup.

5) Coordinate replacement parts for under warranty

· Perform Fire Alarm System - Repair/Replacement as necessary. The following tasks will be performed by the Level II Technician:

1) Replace/ repair any detection sensor not operating correctly;

2) Replace/ repair any warning device not operating correctly; and

3) Perform testing and adjustment of detection sensors.

4) Coordinate for replacement parts

5) Install any replacement parts

· Provide necessary grounds maintenance to maintain zero vegetation growth within security fencing to ensure field of view of cameras and sensors

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

· High School Diploma/GED required.

· 10 years’ experience in Electronic Security Systems

· 5 years’ experience low-voltage electrical with focus on repair work of security devices

· Experience in the installation of electronic security systems, secure facility maintenance, and low-voltage electrical.

· Prior DOD work experience directly relevant to general duties

· Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Working knowledge of security software systems, including Bosch BVMS, Open Options,

· Working knowledge of NIST Standards

· During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
